Help

Here is a list of the questions we get asked most often:

Is everything on my cake made from chocolate?

Yes we use the finest Belgian chocolate coatings and couvertures.

How should I store my cake?
Our cakes are best stored in a cool, dry place, away from any heat sources. Please don’t store your cake in a refrigerator.

Can I store chocolate in the fridge?
We don’t recommend storing your chocolate in the fridge but if it is a really hot day you can store them in an air tight box in your fridge.

What is the shelf life of my cake?
Your cake will last for 10 days from the day of delivery, provided you store it as we suggest.

Can I phone through my order?
Yes we are happy to help place your order by phone, please call 01273 329462

Do you offer next day delivery?
Not currently, your order is usually dispatched between 3 and 5 working days from when you placed it.

Can I change my order after I have placed it?
We are happy to amend your order if needed, but there are some occasions when this will not be possible.  We will always do our best to help, just give us a call.

Can I send my order to multiple addresses?

Are any Choccywoccydoodah products nut-free?
Sorry, but we cannot guarantee that any of our products are nut free, as we use nuts in our bakery. All our cakes apart from the chocolate cake, contain ground almonds

Why isn’t Choccywoccydoodah dark chocolate guaranteed milk/lactose free?
We keep our milk and dark chocolate separated but even with our strict cleaning procedures traces may still remain.

What is the shelf life of my chocolate?
Your chocolate has a 6 month shelf life from the date we dispatch it. Truffles have a 12 week shelf life as do our boxed chocolates.

Can I visit your bakery?
Sorry, but due to health and safety issues we cannot allow members of the public to visit our bakery. But we would love it if you visited our shop.

The item I ordered isn’t identical to the one pictured on your website
Everything we make is hand crafted so each one is individual. We endeavour to show a true representation of each product on our site.

Do you have chocolate that is suitable for diabetics?
We don’t sell chocolate that is branded “suitable for diabetics”, simply because it usually tastes horrid. Our dark chocolate is lowest in sugar and therefore the best option for diabetics. Please refer to the Diabetes UK website for more information - http://www.diabetes.org.uk/

Will my wedding cake melt in the summer?
No! The white chocolate coating we use has a very high melting point so will remain beautiful on your big day. But, please keep it out of direct sunlight and away from sources of heat.

Do cakes from your designer or bespoke ranges need to be assembled?
No, all of our designer and bespoke cakes are fully assembled; they come in a sensible, insulated box. This box opens at the front like a cupboard and the cake is easily lifted out.

Do you provide cutting instructions for your cakes?
All of our designer cakes come with simple instructions on how to dismantle and cut them.

What happens if I want my wedding cake delivered to the venue?
If you order one of our designer cakes we will ring you to see if you would like to have it delivered, if you do we can give you a price for our dedicated courier service. We are happy to deliver to your home or your reception venue, and will deliver your cake a few days prior to your event. We cannot guarantee delivery on the day of your event.

What happens if I have to postpone my wedding or event?
If you need to make changes to the date of your order, please let us know as soon as possible and we will do all we can to assist you.
