Delivery / Collection Dates
For online orders you can choose your desired delivery date when you proceed to checkout . All our cakes are made to order so we require at least 7 days’ notice. When we dispatch your order you will receive text & email notification from DPD couriers , where you can change the delivery address , leave in a safe place or change the delivery day , you will also be provided with a 1 hour delivery window .
UK shipping costs
Shipping costs are calculated from the weight of your purchases. From 0 – 100g = £3.95, from 101g – 400g = £5.50, from 500g - 2kg = £7.50 all sent with DPD / Interlink , 24 hrs, tracked. All cakes and orders over 2kg will also be sent this way and will cost £10 for up to 10 kgs. Deliveries are Monday to Friday only and will require a signature.
House Style Cakes
Our Marshmallow Pyramid and Flat-Topped range of cakes can either be collected from our shops in Brighton and London or can be delivered by courier. The cost of the courier service is £10 up to 10 kgs.
Our House style cake with chocolate ruffles are very fragile, and therefore cannot be delivered, but can be ordered online for collection from our shops in Brighton or London The collection date can be chosen in the Shopping Cart. Or these can be ordered by calling the shop number at least one week in advance.
Our lovely designer cakes are available for collection only from our Brighton or London store, or alternatively you can organise your own courier to collect
Larger cakes and bespoke commissions can be either collected from our shops in Brighton or London or we can organise a dedicated courier delivery service. We calculate our prices based on the distance between Brighton and the cake's final destination. We are happy to arrange a quote for this service. Delivery times cannot be specified and we have a policy of not delivering on the day of an event or at weekends.
Where you order multiple items we will always endeavour to minimise the shipping costs.
The actual shipping costs will be displayed on the checkout page where you can choose the latest delivery date you require for your order.
We always ship to the exact address details you enter, so make sure to check you’ve given us the correct information before you place your order. If you’re unsure, try the Post Office address finder as we can’t accept liability for late or failed deliveries due to an incorrect address.
If you are not going to be home within delivery hours, the courier will leave a calling card for you to rearrange a suitable time and date. If you know you or your recipients aren’t home during delivery hours, we would recommend delivery to an alternative address instead. If your goods become unsuitable as a result of non-delivery, we cannot accept liability.
International orders are fulfilled by DPD / Interlink couriers and will typically take up to 10 working days. Unfortunately, we are unable to guarantee delivery on specific dates. Our products are perishable and we have no control over the temperature or conditions of your order in transit, so cannot accept responsibility for melted/damaged products.
We are able to accept orders of up to 5kg for international delivery - delivery charges will be calculated based on weight at checkout
It’s possible that Customs in other countries may add additional duties or charges, which we are unable to control. These charges would be applied in the receiving country, so we cannot predict or influence what they may be. The recipient is responsible for paying these charges, should they arise.
US Food & Drug Administration
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has recently made changes to legislation relating to the importing of food into the USA. For each delivery we make to the USA, we’re obliged to submit additional documentation to the FDA
In the event that your order is damaged in transit please contact us within 24 hours of receipt. Products received by courier should be checked before being signed for. If the exterior packaging or the product is found to be damaged you must then sign "checked and found to be damaged". If you fail to do this we may not be able to offer a refund or replacement
In the case of damaged goods you must return, at your own expense, the damaged products and all packaging for inspection by us. Subject to our report on the claimed damage and to our Terms and Conditions we will refund the price you paid for the returned Products together with the delivery charge and any return postage, or at our option we will provide you with a credit for further products. We will have no liability to you for any indirect loss. Please state clearly your dispatch details and order number in all email communications to us.
We will only make a refund to the original credit card or debit card account used by you to make the online purchase. Legal ownership of the goods will immediately revert to us if we refund any such payment to you.
Since taste is a very personal matter and subjective we cannot accept the return of any products merely because you do not like the taste.
If for any reason you are not entirely satisfied with any product purchased from Choccywoccydoodah because you feel they are either damaged or faulty, these can be returned to us, at your expense, within 7 days from the date of dispatch
We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products that appear on our site and also to ensure that the colours on screen are as close as possible to the colours of the actual product. However, the colour of the actual product you see on your screen will depend on your monitor, your screen settings and resolution. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee that your monitor's display of any colour will accurately reflect the colour of the product on delivery and we cannot accept the return of any product because it does not match the colour you were expecting from viewing your screen display.
We will not accept the return of any Products which have been purchased from any outlet other than Choccywoccydoodah .
The provisions of this clause do not affect your statutory rights.
