Products and Cake orders can be placed online, in-store or over the telephone. As all items are made to order, by hand we appreciate 7 days’ notice for our cakes and for chocolate products we appreciate 5 days’ notice. As all our products are made by hand, the final product will vary every time. Please bear in mind that the images on our website are for display purpose only and the cake / product you receive may differ slightly.
Changes to Orders: Please note that no changes can be made to orders with less than 72 hours notice , before the collection / dispatch date .
Delivery / Collection
If you are collecting your order from our Brighton or London store this will be available for pick up after 11 am on your chosen date , your order will not be bagged or boxed but we can supply a decorative tote bag for £1.50
Once your order ships we do not have access to your tracking information , this will be texted to you on the morning of delivery and if you need any further assistance Royal mail can be reached on 08457 950 950
All items for delivery will have red and black Choccywoccydoodah fragile tape on the box , this is a stipulation of the courier company
The date chosen from the online calendar will be the last date we will deliver on , we try to get all parcels delivered 24 hours earlier than requested incase of bad weather , damages etc , if your delivery date is a Monday your parcel may arrive on the Friday or Saturday but please do not worry. Our cakes have a 10 day shelf life from the date of baking and our chocolate products have 3 / 12 months shelf life. Also please remember to keep all items at room temperature
For online orders for collection or delivery please specify your chosen date from the online calendar at checkout , we require a minimum of 7 days notice for any cake orders and 5 days notice for any products.
If you are collecting your order instore this will be available for collection on your chosen date from 11 am Mon – Sat or from 12 noon on Sun , If you are having delivery we use Royal Mail and they will deliver your order anytime between 8am – 6pm Monday – Friday, unfortunately we cannot specify or request specific time slots for your delivery.
When we dispatch your order, we use Royal Mail tracked service, you will receive an email from Royal Mail with your tracking information. If you have any problems please call Royal Mail directly on 0843 487 1655.

We recommend you choose a delivery date that is at least 1 clear day before your items are required to avoid disappointment. During the likelihood of severe weather conditions or if you are further up the country than Edinburgh we recommend you order your items to arrive two clear days before it is to be used.
UK deliveries by Royal Mail
Your order will be booked in with the delivery information you input while placing your order, we shall not be liable for any delay in delivering your order if the address submitted when ordering is incomplete or incorrect.

Ensuring that the recipient is going to be at the delivery address, on the day of delivery, remains the responsibility of the sender. Choccywoccydoodah cannot accept responsibility or costs incurred in such circumstances.
Europe & International deliveries
All orders will be shipped using Royal Mail. Deliveries will take around 3 to 10 working days. For all orders, the delivery cost will be calculated by weight and destination.
Any customs or import duties are levied once the package reaches its destination country. Choccywoccydoodah will not responsible for any additional charges for customs clearance, and the customer must pay for these in full. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you may want to contact your local customs office for further information. Delivery times may vary due to circumstances beyond our control.
Adverse weather conditions
Because of the medium that we work in, and our delivery’s being made with vans that are not temperature controlled, during extremely hot weather we might on occasion hold back your delivery and send out when its more suitable to do so.
Where can you deliver to
Royal Mail can deliver to all addresses in the UK in 48 hours please bear this in mind when selecting your delivery date from our online calendar.
For Europe & worldwide deliveries Royal Mail would be used too.
When placing an order for delivery, please be sure to provide a mobile telephone number on which Royal Mail can contact you or the recipient, should there be any problems in delivering the order. If for any reason no one is present to accept the delivery at the delivery address, you will be left a calling card notification.
For orders where a third party will accept and sign for the delivery on the recipient’s behalf i.e. a hotel, hospital, airport, college, university, workplace, secure housing with a doorman etc. the signature of any person authorised to accept a delivery on behalf of the organisation shall be accepted as proof of delivery. Choccywoccydoodah suggests that the sender takes the time to inform any such third party to expect their delivery prior to placing an order to ensure there is no delay in the recipient receiving their order.
Notes to driver
Please note that orders can only be delivered to premises where it can be signed for, while we pass along specific delivery instructions to our couriers it may not always be possible for these to be adhered to. Therefore, we do not guarantee these actions will take place. A driver may decide not to leave the cakes in a specified place if, for example, they believe there is a risk of theft. There is an in-app function for you to choose on the day delivery to a neighbour, alternative address or local post office or pick up station, Choccywoccydoodah will not be liable for this loss.
What if the recipient is out at the time of delivery?
It is the Customers responsibility to ensure all delivery address/details for the recipient given are correct, Choccywoccydoodah will not accept any responsibility or costs for non-delivery to the intended recipient or losses in such circumstances.
We strongly advise that the recipient is expecting our delivery, even if you want the contents to be a surprise. Damages are very rare but are more likely to happen on a second delivery attempt and unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds for damages in this instance.
You will receive an e-mail/ text the evening before delivery advising that delivery will take place the next day. You will be able to respond to the courier with this e-mail/ text if you wish the gift to be delivered to a neighbour or left in a safe place, which we recommend if there is a possibility that the recipient will not be in.
What happens if my gift arrives damaged?
We take great care to ensure that our cakes and chocolates leave us in perfect condition and that the packaging will ensure its safe delivery.
All products are in clearly marked boxes to reduce damages, however if your items should be damaged on arrival, we will require photographs showing the damage and the outer packaging.
What happens if my gift arrives late?
We dispatch your items using Royal Mail 48 hr service for UK mainland deliveries and for Islands and Scottish Highlands allow an additional day. 99% of the items arrive the next day.
For special events, we recommend that you order your items to arrive a day or two early.
